I've just posted a picture - alamnonanon.tribe.net/photos/...bd8fd1a7 - of two women who have been stealing flowers from the Meyers House Museum. Last time they did this, they took *all* the yellow roses.

Re: Flower Thieves
Mon, July 14, 2008 - 9:47 PMThat is just wrong...unless they have some sort of agreement with the museum or the city, which I doubt. (The city is responsible for the exterior, but there is a group of volunteers from the museum that do the gardening - not sure of the current arrangement between the two entities concerning plants inside the fence -vs- plants outside the fence, but...)
Grrrrrr on flower thieves!
Perhaps you could email the photo to
meyershouse@netscape.net
Good on ya, Anthony!

Re: Flower Thieves
Sun, July 20, 2008 - 11:51 PMIt's city property, btw...
The property was willed to the city, with the caveat that the museum control the interior of the house. -

Mon, July 21, 2008 - 4:28 PM....A good indicator that (even considering) public shaming before knowing all the information from all sides would not be a very wise idea.

I still think it's rude to go and cut a bunch of flowers from city property. -

Re: Flower Thieves
Wed, October 1, 2008 - 11:21 PMI planted a lot of sunflowers at my house and they have all had the flowers taken!!! I am not sure if it could have been a squirrel, but they usually leave a big mess of seeds and peddles, so I believe it was pedestrians....nothing makes me more angry than flower thieves. so much for urban beautification. -
