PEERS will be having its annual August picnic this coming Saturday, August 2nd, at Lincoln Park in Alameda (near the Rose Garden, on the High Street side of the Park.) This year, it's The Impressionists' Picnic.

Picnic luncheon begins at 11:30, (you may come earlier to save a spot) and Bangers and Mash, a will be playing for dancers from 1:30 to 4:30.

Bring your own picnic lunch.

Victorian and/or artistic finery (but not TOO fine, it's a picnic!) is admired but not required.

Wear sturdy shoes in which you can dance outdoors. (The ground can be soft, so heels are to be avoided, and the "dance floor" is a path, so shoe yourself accordingly!)

The event is free, but donations for the band are graciously accepted.

Paint and easels are also admired but not required. I know of at least two artists who are planning to paint this charming scene.

Last year's Jane Austen Picnic was delightful , this one should be as well.
