The commute into the city is exasperating. Where is the casual carpool in alameda and does anyone use it?

Sat, October 20, 2007 - 9:22 AMI've heard there's one somewhere around Encinal and Park (through the ARCO), but I've never had occasion to look for it.
Sometimes people will pick up people at the O Bus stops along Santa Clara - when I was commuting into the City, I'd pick up people along Santa Clara from the bus stops. (The stop at Grand was the best place for me.) -

Sun, October 21, 2007 - 3:50 PMThere is definitely a casual carpool stop at Webster and Santa Clara. It's on Santa Clara; look for the line in front of Tillie's. It's much easier to spot the would-be carpooler line now that the stop has moved around the corner to Webster street. -

Sun, October 21, 2007 - 7:15 PMthere's a good need for people to pick up too! So please come on out! I've been a passenger in my friend's car on occasion, and the wait for passengers can take awhile sometimes! Not like the Grand Lake one!

Um, one of my friends would get a lift occasionally around the 6am time too, & has the same problem as you. Only occasionally would she get a lift--hey maybe someone should advertise in the A. Journal to get more people to come out-- doesn't everyone get a copy of that paper nowadays?
